Good morning everyone it's good to be here with you this morning
I know we're tired. We've done a lot of things played a lot of games had a lot of fun.
For some of you this morning, you still chose even though you're tired, even though you're exhausted to get up, hopefully to brush your teeth and then to make your way here this morning
Now some of y'all have just remembered to brush your teeth please put that down in your notes and go do it after
For some of you, you've been dragged here by your leader and to both groups. I said thank you for being here.
I want to clarify this is a Bible study. This is not a sermon. I will not be preaching at you. I will be speaking with you…
Our goal this morning is not to hear from me and not even to hear from you but to hear from the Lord and talk about it…
Over the past few days we've gone over how to pray step-by-step
We started with this word adoration,
and what does adoration mean???
It means to adore to worship to praise our God
Prayer begins with a adoring worship of God
But then we quickly move from this worship this this gratitude, this praising of the Lord to confession
Confession is to agree with God about ourselves… To say, Lord, I have done wrong as you have shown me, and I want to receive your forgiveness. We confess our sins to God.
And confession is followed by this repentance, right change, desiring to not pretend like that never happened, but except the forgiveness from God
So we worship God, we confess our sins to God, and this flows into our next two points…
Remember, we're looking at the A.C.T.S prayer method
Adoration confession, and our topics today…
Thanksgiving and supplication…
I want to pray and ask God to be with our study today to show us what he has for us.
If you're tired, please stand up during this prayer time or anytime during the study and stand stand to the side, stand in the back, no reason for us to be falling asleep in our chair
Pray:

Thanksgiving and supplication
By Reyes of hands, how many of us have heard of the word Thanksgiving?…
What does the word mean?
Thanksgiving is expressing gratitude to God for who He is…, What He has done, And how He has been faithful
Today we will break down Thanksgiving and then with the time we have left, we will look at supplication…
But looking at Thanksgiving when I think of the word, I think of gratitude
What is gratitude???
There's a great answer
* 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 –
* Colossians 3:15–17
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
* Ephesians 5:18–20
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,
20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
* Philippians 4:6–7
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
* Psalm 100:4
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
